  1. This is the electronic version of the data used in the
  2. paper by Bothun, Lonsdale and Rice 1989.  There are
  3. two files with identical format.  The larger one
  4. is for all normal galaxies in the UGC detected by
  5. IRAS about 0.5 JY in 60 microns.  The shorter one is
  6. a sample of about 350 known AGNS that are in the UGC
  7. and detected by IRAS.

  9. The to files are just ASCII.  Both files are compressed.
  10. The entries are as follows:

  12. Column 1 = UGC number
  13. Column 2 = Galactic Extinction A_b
  14. Column 3 = H I Flux Integral in units of Jy km/s
  15. Column 4 = Observed H I line width
  16. Column 5 = Galactic Latitude
  17. Column 6,7 = major and minor axes in units of arcminutes
  18. Column 8 = morphologial type (ugh!)
  19. Column 9 = some kind of blue magnitude, like a Zwicky one (double ugh!)
  20. Column 10= unrealiable velocity
  21. Column 11 = nothing
  22. Column 12,13 = B-V and U-B (uncorrected for reddening or redshift)
  23. Column 14-17 = fluxes at 12,25,60 and 100 microns  (for ratios multiply
  24. by band width ratios) that is 60/100 = 60/(2.58*100)
  25. Column 18 = real velocity
